Gulich Institute

The Mario Gulich Institute for Advance Space Studies (GI) is a training center of human resources and research that was created in 1997 by means of an agreement between the National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE) and the National University of Córdoba (UNC).  Its venue, inaugurated in 2001 is located at the CONAE’s Teófilo Tabanera Space Center (CETT), in Falda de Cañete, Córdoba province. It has the active participation and contribution of the Italian government and the Italian Space Agency.

It is named after Mario Gulich, a CONAE’s physicist who died in 1994 and conceived the first Argentinean scientific satellite SAC-B.

The institute objective is the training of excellence human resources, focused on the support and development of National Space Program projects, the generation of advanced knowledge and the development of space-related innovative applications.
